Then came the terrible year of 1984. Akali Dal leaders in connivance with the "Delhi Darbar" hatched a conspiracy to defame the Sikh Gurus, defame the Sikh Shrines and to defile Sikhism, its philosophy and glorious heritage. Indian Army attacked the holy Sikh shrines with Tanks. Thousands and thousands of innocent Sikh devotees were massacred. Sikh womanhood was raped. The so-called "popular" and "powerful" Akali Dal leaders preferred to surrender before the Indian Army than to lay down their lives. Sikhs were branded as TRAITORS and TERRORISTS. In a well-planned HOLOCAUST millions of Sikh men, women and children were either burnt alive or were hacked to death all over India. The so-called "popular" Akali Dal leaders like Parkash Singh Badal, Gurcharan Singh Tohra and Surjit Singh Barnala and others joined hands with their Masters of the "Delhi Darbar" to indulge in violation of Human Rights of heinous nature to eclipse truth and to contain freedom of expression and equality. Punjab hangs its head in shame to see the constitutional rape of Sikhi and Sikhism also Punjabi and Punjabiat. Not to talk of others even Parkash Singh Badal, who is the President of the Akali Dal and also the Chief Minister of Punjab is silent over the "Constitutional Punishment" to those who butchered Sikhs between 1980 to 1988. Why Badal is silent over the Jaswant Singh Khalra episode? Is it not an act of Thanklessness? It was Jaswant Singh Khalra who at the cost of his own life paved the way for Parkash Singh Badal to become the Chief Minister by highlighting the brutal elimination of some twenty thousand Sikh youth. Today, Badal is silent and happy. Silent because he is in the Chair. And happy because his son is a minister in the Union Cabinet. Great Sikh Gurus never promoted nepotism, favoritism or corruption. The essence of their message was truthfulness and simplicity. They never amassed wealth or property. But on the other hand Akali Dal leaders are promoting their own kith and kin's. They are following the path shown by Massa-rangers by indulging in corruption and other immoral acts relating to wine, wealth and women. On many a occasion they have burnt the copies of the ‘Indian Constitution’ only to become a Minister or Chief Minister, by taking oath of the same constitution. Parkash Singh Badal, Surjit Singh Barnala and others are the living examples of opportunist Akali Dal leadership. Whenever Akali Dal is out of power the demands like ‘Punjabi Suba’, ‘Sikh Homeland’ ‘Punjabi speaking Areas’, ‘Anandpur Sahib Resolution’ and ‘Chandigarh’ are raised. But when Akali Dal leaders are in the "Chair" the provocative slogans like : ![]() "OPPORTUNISM" - THY NAME IS AKALI DAL Awake, arise,
-O brave Panjabis,
